JOPLIN, MO.--- Shoes were on sale today at Freeman Health System. The Freeman Auxiliary hosted a shoe sale, with 20% of sales going to the group. A fundraiser like this typically brings in $5,000. The Auxiliary is made up of more than 300 volunteers at the hospital. The money raised goes to different causes like supporting the Children's Miracle Network hospitals, the Turnaround Ranch and the Ronald McDonald House.
"Our staff love it because they can get some great shoes that they have to wear because the staff are on their feet a lot. So we want to make sure they have good shoes," said Linda McIntosh, Freeman Volunteer Manager.
Shoes will be for sale tomorrow in the main lobby of Freeman West from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. And then again on Thursday at Freeman East in conference Room 1 "E" from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
