Former Sheriff's Detective Pleads Guilty in Meth Case

A former Ottawa County sheriff's detective will serve two years behind bars for selling drugs near a Miami school.
MIAMI, OK.--- A former Ottawa County sheriff's detective will serve two years behind bars for selling drugs near a Miami school. Troy Wilmoth, 47,  plead guilty to two counts of delivery of a controlled dangerous substance within 2,000 feet of a school. A judge ordered Wilmoth to serve 15 years for each count, running concurrently, with all but two years suspended. He was also ordered to pay a $4,000 fine. The former detective is accused of selling a gram and a half of meth to an undercover narcotics agent. During a search of Wilmoth's house, agents found a working meth lab.
