Duquesne PD Free Gun Locks

Duquesne PD Free Gun Locks

The Duquesne Police Department is helping kids stay safe by promoting firearm safety.
DUQUESNE, MO.--- Duquesne Police Chief Tommy Kitch says all firearms should be locked up and kept safe. This is why they are giving away free gun locks. The police department purchased the gun locks through a Department of Justice Grant several years ago. So far, hundreds of locks have been given out over the years.

"The good thing about this is, we know it hasn't hurt. We've not had a tragedy here in the City of Duquesne since I've been here, involving a firearm with a child. And I hope to keep it that way for a long time to come," said Tommy Kitch, Duquesne Police Chief.

You can pick up your free gun lock at the Duquesne Police Department office.
