JASPER COUNTY, MO.--- Criminal charges have been filed in a rural Jasper County shooting case. Jennifer Crouch, 30, is accused of second degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. It happened yesterday morning at a home a mile north of Route 66 and State Line Road.
Authorities say Crouch first fired a shot into the air during a verbal argument with a female neighbor. When another neighbor tried to intervene, Crouch allegedly shot him in the stomach with a 25 caliber pistol. The victim, Roger Johnson, was treated at Freeman Health System and is in stable condition.
