Crawford County Jail Inmate Video Visitation

A new system at the Crawford County Jail promises more money for the sheriff office and better access to inmates for family and friends.
GIRARD, KS.--- A news system at the Crawford County Jail promises more money for the sheriff's office, and better access to inmates for family and friends. Turn Key Corrections will soon install a new commissary, video visitation and inmate e-mail program at the Crawford County Jail in Girard.

The system will allow inmates to receive video visitation from anywhere in the world for 35 cents a minute, along with allowing them to send and receive e-mails at a cost of 25 cents each. Turn Key Corrections says this will allow corrections officers to more closely monitor the communications, and it will help reduce foot traffic at the jail. The system is being installed at no cost to the county.
