NEOSHO, MO.--- The East Spring Street project is currently under construction in Neosho. The project was funded by a grant with the Missouri Department of Transportation and made up of three components. New sidewalks and curbing for two blocks will be from the square going east towards the railroad tracks.
Crew members are laying asphalt for the same two blocks and an additional two blocks east past the railroad tracks. A pedestrian trail will also be added. It will connect with the existing trail in Morse Park. The city feels this project will help the community.
"Well, it's going to provide a better access a cleaner access as to Morse Park, which is wear our existing trails take place. And it's just a good drawing point as far as coming off the square. It's going to look better," said Dana Daniel, Director of Development Services.
The project will be completed by spring.
