PARSONS, KS.--- Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins of Kansas makes a tour stop in Parsons today. The states second congressional district representative answered questions from people in Southeast Kansas. Jenkins says Kansans she spoke with are concerned about the Affordable Care Act. Their other big concern is how the federal government will work for job growth in the area. Jenkins says her focus when she gets back to Washington is to quote "fix what's broken here."
"I work for them. There isn't anyone in Washington I work for, I work for the people of Kansas. So I think this is a real important part of the whole process, the representative process for me to come home and listen to people," said Lynn Jenkins, Kansas District 2.
Jenkins says the other item she will work on when she goes back to the nation's capital is to make tax codes easier to understand so Kansans can do their own tax returns.
