JOPLIN, MO.--- A recent pancake fundraiser has people flipping with good news. On Monday and Tuesday, the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals hosted a pancake fundraiser, bringing in more than $3,500. Organizers made pancakes inside the lobby at Freeman Health System. Also, at iHop in Joplin people were given a short stack of pancakes for a donation to CMN. This years total was $500 more than last years promotion. Organizers say the money will be kept here in the area.
"It goes to help the NEO Natal Intensive Care Unit, also helps direct family assistance. Kiddos that need to go to Kansas City, St. Louis and other places," said Heather Lesmeister, CMN Program Director.
A recent promotion at Crabby's Restaurant in Joplin raised nearly $6,000 for CMN. Combined with the two promotions, nearly $10,000 was raised and donated to the Children's Miracle Network.
