LAMAR, MO.--- A military veteran is using hot dogs as a way to make money this summer. Clint Brown has always wanted to do something where he was his own boss. He says because of the current economy it's tough for people, especially veterans, to find a job. Being a veteran and going to school full time, a summer hot dog stand seems to have solved many of his dilemmas. Plus, he says he needed do something that wouldn't effect others if he needed to take off.
"It's hard for anyone to find a job right now and they've got a lot of help out there for veterans now and I appreciate that, but I kind of needed something because I go to the VA so often in Kansas City that I could do it on my own time," said Clint Brown, Chow Hounds Hot Dog Stand.
His hot dog stand, Chow Hounds will be on the square in Lamar Tuesdays and Thursdays, and then at Orscheln Farm Supplies on Mondays and Fridays, he will also be on the Nevada square every Wednesday.
