JOPLIN, MO.--- A Joplin resident announces his candidacy for Missouri House 161 Legislative District. Charles Hugh Shields is highlighting three main issues throughout his candidacy, those are the right to work and Prevailing Wage Act, Medicaid expansion for Missouri, and copycat legislation disclosure. He says these are the issues he plans to campaign on because they're currently being dealt with by the Missouri legislative majority. Plus, he believes he can bring something unique to the table.
"A different point of view. The point of view right now is dominated by Republican conservative values," said Charles Hugh Shields, Missouri House 161st Candidate.
Sheilds is a Joplin native and adds he's been active in politics since 2004.
