JOPLIN, MO.--- Valentine's Day is fast approaching and while everyone is thinking about their significant other, one Joplin pet owner is hoping you'll share your love with a four legged friend. Gail Jonason is making Valentine bandanas for dogs and cats. Once the 32 bandanas are ready to go, she will donate them to the Joplin Human Society. Her goal is for 32 pets to be adopted on Valentine's Day, each wearing a festive bandana. Jonason says people need to think about the animals during the holiday.
"Instead of flowers and candies, give them a cat or a dog, because cats and dogs need loving too," said Gail Jonason, Valentine Bandana Maker.
The bandanas will be offered for adoptions throughout the day on Valentine's Day. The shelter is open from one to six.
