CARTHAGE, MO.--- The Carthage Humane Society has noticed a 50% increase in the number of cat's it's taken in this past spring and summer. The group says they are very low on kitty litter and only have a couple of days supply to stock the cages. Shelter workers are hoping people will step up to help.
"We rely entirely on donations. Everything we get here is usually a donation, and that's pretty much how we are able to keep taking care of our animals and to remain a no kill shelter," said Christy Reynolds, Carthage Humane Society.
If you would like to help, you can drop the kitty litter off at the shelter. It's located at 13860 Dog Kennel Lane.
