JOPLIN, MO.--- Students didn't have to leave the classroom to get a tour of Africa. The Watoto Children's Choir visited College Heights Christian School in Joplin. The choir is on a six month tour of the United States. All the children in the choir are orphans and have lost their parents and are foster children. The choir has given them hope and they're sharing it across the globe.
"Life isn't about where they come from, but where they are going and what God is doing in their lives," said Phillip Mugerwa, Watoto Children's Choir.
"God did not forget us. Even in our pain, he did not forget us," said Rebecca Kampi, 10-Years-Old.
The choir has performed for former President Bush and also the Queen of England. They have two performances in Joplin, for more information, click here.
