CARTHAGE, MO.--- You've heard of lions and tigers in the circus, how about house cats? The circus is in town at the Carthage Memorial Hall. The Ticolini Circus has trained several cats to jump through hoops, walk the high wire and also climb tall platforms. The family says it takes several months to train the cats, but when they pick the performers there's a certain type of cat they look for.
"We had a few male cats and they don't do anything. We trained the females and they learned right away. Kind of like humans, yeah like girls," said Yoya Ticolini, Ticolini Circus.
The circus will be performing tonight and tomorrow at 7 p.m.
