JOPLIN, MO.--- Marc Prensky is a nationwide technology expert. He visited East Middle School in Joplin to talk to teachers about the challenges of teaching a generation of kids who have always had the internet. He says a strict curriculum isn't always the right way to go. He says with the internet, students can learn more about their interests and make learning fun.
"We have a curriculum that dates from centuries ago that was prepared for a time when we didn't have a lot of information or access to information. And now, it's time to rethink that curriculum in view of the era we live in," said Marc Prensky, Tech Expert.
Students were also on hand to voice their opinions on what they'd like differently in the classroom.
