Brad's Beat: PSU Science Fair

PSU hosted their annual Science Fair for more than 600 high school students from the surrounding area.
PITTSBURG, KS.--- Pittsburg State University is hosting their annual Science Fair for more than 600 high school students from the surrounding area. Some of the fun projects included building a structure that could survive an earthquake.

They also built better mousetraps and built paper towers made up of one sheet of paper. The kids say they enjoy the competition and that nerds are very cool.

"Nerds are cool, there's nothing uncool about them. We know a lot of stuff. We can answer things for people and we have fun while doing it," says James Emeric, 13-years-old.

The goal is to make science fun and also introduce the kids to college life.
