Brad's Beat Operation Barbecue Relief

Operation Barbecue Relief will be taking 2 truckloads of canned foods along with plates and utensils to Moore.
JOPLIN, MO.--- A group that started in Joplin following the May 22nd tornado is now helping in Moore. Former Mayor Jon Tupper is a member of Operation Barbecue Relief. For the past several days he's been collecting food items in the Sam's Club parking lot.

He will take 2 truckloads of canned foods along with plates and utensils to Moore. Sam's Club and Wal-Mart are donating meat. Tupper says the group started after 3 Kansas City men came to Joplin and wanted to help after the tornado.

"I love cooking BBQ, I love cooking outdoors. Anytime you can help somebody and do what you love to do, see a smile on their face, that's a good thing," said Jon Tupper, Operation BBQ Relief.

Tupper will leave early tomorrow morning for Moore. A portion of the group is already there and they have fed thousands already.
