JOPLIN, MO.--- Not every art class offers a chance to become a fashion designer and walk a runway like a supermodel, that's the norm in Ruth Atchley's art class at McAuley High School in Joplin. The students were in charge of designing an outfit to represent a country or state of their choice. Some of the countries included Mongolia, Egypt and Switzerland. The student-fashionistas say it's fun to think outside the box in an art class.
"It's a way for us to express ourselves other than drawing or painting, and it's another way to have an outlet into art," said William Motzaedi, Switzerland.
You can see the fashion show in person at the Third Thursday event tomorrow.
