PITTSBURG, KS.--- A senior king and queen pageant was held at the Meadowbrook Mall. More than a dozen seniors sang, told jokes and showed off their musical skills. Judges were looking for creativity and talent with each contestant.
"People get to learn about our residents. Everybody has a story and that's the unique thing. Some people that have lived in Pittsburg all their lives, some people don't even know that there's a story. And we have them come from all over Kansas," said Shelley Gromer, organizer.
Organizers say the seniors look forward to the event every year.
