Brad's Beat Last Curtain Call

Lola Wade will be directing the Wizard of Oz as her last musical performance after 40 years of directing and teaching.
JOPLIN, MO.--- A Joplin teacher is having her last musical curtain call. Lola Wade has been directing musicals for more than 40 years. The last musical she'll direct is the Wizard of Oz at McCauley High School. She says she wants to go out on top, which involves a trip back to Oz. Wade says theater teaches the students so many good lessons.

"It teaches them self confidence. It teaches them to be able to think fast on their feet. So many aspects of things they can use in other jobs," said Lola Wade, Theater Teacher.

There will be 3 performances for the Wizard of Oz. It will be held at South Middle School on April 18th, 19th and 20th. Tickets are $10 and you can order them by calling 417-624-9320 ext 13.
