Brad's Beat: Kickstarter Project Published

A Joplin artist, who raised more than 35 thousand dollars for a book project, finally sees his work in print.
JOPLIN, MO.--- A Joplin artist, who raised more than $35,000 for a book project, finally sees his work in print. Artist Jeremey Haun started a Kickstarter page last December. The goal was to raise money to cover printing costs for a 200 page graphic novel called "Bad Karma."

The online fundraiser was able to generate $36,000. The book was sent to the printer and has now been published. More than 2,700 books have been shipped to Joplin and distributed around the world.

"It's fantastic. We build something from the ground up and took a massive risk doing it. Lot of time, lot of energy, lot of sleepless nights into something," said Jeremy Haun, Artist.

A celebration of the project will be held this Sunday at Instant Karma where you can purchase a copy of the book. If you'd like to attend, you can call 417-206-DOGS for reservations.
