JOPLIN, MO.--- The Joplin Table Tennis Club started in March with just a couple members, it now has 30 members. The group had been playing games at a building next to Ewert Pool for the last several months. The city has now moved them to Memorial Hall. With the growing interest, the group is needing help in raising money to buy more tables. Members also hope to bring more tourism to the area with tournaments.
"The ultimate goal is to keep outgrowing our buildings, to keep growing. And in that, start hosting tournaments and bringing people from other cities into Joplin," said Caleb Head, Ping Pong Player.
