JOPLIN, MO.---- A Joplin woman is on the side of the angels with her art. Since the Joplin tornado, Tricia Courtney has been making angels out of storm debris. She has made more than 400 hundred of them. Several are on display at the Post Memorial Art Reference Museum in Joplin. She uses all sorts of items, like heating vents for wings and old metal for halos. She has given many angels to residents who say it helps them heal.
"Everything was chaos, gave her an angel and made her feel like her life was being put back together in another way," said Tricia Courtney, Angel Artist.
The display will be at the Post Memorial Art Reference Museum for the month of February. The Post is located inside the Joplin Public Library.
