Brad's Beat: Hospital Appreciation Week

Since this week is Hospital Appreciation Week, Freeman Health System in Joplin is recognizing two of it's longest serving employees.
JOPLIN, MO.--- Since this week is Hospital Appreciation Week, Freeman Health System in Joplin is recognizing two of it's longest serving employees. Harla Stephens and Jan Brown have been working at Freeman for a combined total of nearly 80 years. Harla works in the NICU and Jan works at the Women's Center. The two say they love their jobs and they appreciate the hospital and the patients each and every day, that's why they've stayed on for so long. When you work at a place for so long, you tend to have long term bonds with the patients.

"See them as they grow up. You will see them at the mall, see them at the store. Parents always remember you, they send you invitations to graduations, to their weddings," said Harla Stephens, Worked 37 Years at Freeman.

The two have no plans on retiring anytime soon.
