CARTHAGE, MO.--- A tractor from Carthage will soon be shipped to Africa to help save lives. Daniel Kpowbie traveled 14 hours from West Africa to Carthage to pick up this tractor. He is also learning how to use it. It's a 1950 restored John Deere and it will be used to help with crops and to feed thousands. People in his small town farm by hand and a tractor will greatly improve production. The donation was made possible from the "Gifts for the Nations" group in Mound Valley, Kansas.
"We are some teriffic people, some that are watching this program that have a heart to help. You save lives," said Daniel Kpowbie, African Missionary.
It will cost $10,000 to ship the tractor and it wil arrive in two months in West Africa.
