Brad's Beat: Freeman Health System Safe Sitter Course

Many parents often leave their child with a babysitter, but how prepared is the sitter if an accident should happen?
JOPLIN, MO.--- Freeman Health System hosted a "Safe Sitter" course today. Children ages 11 to 13 enrolled in the class and learned the basics, including everything from CPR, to changing a dirty diaper. At the end of the course, students will be certified babysitters and ready for any emergencies that may come up.

"When they've been through this class, we have talked about so many different safety concerns and great ways to entertain children. So they've gained great experience," said Sarah Eidson, Freeman R.N.

There are still spots available to sign up for the $40 class. You can call 417-347-4430 for more information.
