JOPLIN, MO.--- One of the largest rummage sales in the area kicks off today. The First United Methodist Youth Program of Joplin hosted it's annual sale. More than 20,000 items are at the event and people have been setting up for days to offer so many selections. Proceeds from the rummage sale will go to various charities like the Salvation Army and Bright Futures. Several of the shoppers we talked to earlier today say, it just takes some patience to find a treasure.
"If it's a church, try not to haggle. If it's a yard sale, feel free to haggle. Bundling is the key, get a pile," said Monica, Rummage Sale Expert.
The rummage sale will continue on Thursday.
