CARL JUNCTION, MO.--- Pieces of the Titanic have landed in the Four States. Alan Shirley is a local historian and is setting up a display of Titanic history inside the Carl Junction City Hall. Some of the pieces include wood from the ship, autographs from some of the passengers, and even pieces from a life jacket. Shirley says the Titanic taught man a tough lesson about our mortality.
"The feeling of the public was, we could conquer anything. There was nothing we couldn't do or in controlling mother nature. They got a hard lesson from the water and the iceberg," said Allen Shirley, Historian.
Carl Junction City Hall is located at 303 north Main Street.
