Brad's Beat: Camp Quality

A Neosho camp has opened its doors for kids to spend a week forgetting about their cancer and just have fun.
NEOSHO, MO.--- A camp has opened its doors for kids to spend a week forgetting about their cancer and just have fun. Camp Quality in Neosho pairs volunteers with kids who are battling cancer or in remission. Brent Baker has teamed up with Dakota Jackson for the week.

The 2 have spent time together at the camp for the past 6 summers. The kids can fish, do art projects and just be kids. Organizers say the children have to grow up so quickly with cancer and it's nice for them to get a week off. Dakota is done with chemotherapy, but says it's nice to still come to the camp.

"I had to do it for 3 years before I got rid of it. I'm in remission now, the best thing is I can keep coming here to have fun and be with all my friends," said Brent Baker, Camper.

More than 30 kids are attending the week long camp this year.
