JOPLIN, MO.--- People started celebrating very early this morning for St. Patrick's Day. Blackthorn Pub in downtown Joplin opened it's doors at 6 a.m. Several people were there having their first beer of the day. Organizers say St. Patrick's Day is one of their busiest days of the year. People will often take the day off of work to come visit, and ordering enough beer is key for the owners.
"We're the number one seller of Guinness. We'll probably empty five or six kegs tonight, countless cans of beer," said Jason Martin, Backthorn Pub.
Blackthorn will close it's doors tonight at 1:30 a.m.
