JOPLIN, MO.--- More than 50 pets at the Joplin Humane Society are in need of foster parents to feed them with bottles and care for them. Mary Green and her husband Colby have recently become foster parents. They have taken in two puppies from a litter of nine from the Joplin Humane Society. Green says it took a bit of time for the puppies to adjust to losing their mother.
"Get comfortable with wanting to nurse from a bottle. You could tell they didn't particularly like that. That it wasn't mom, but once they adapted to that, it just became very natural," said Mary Green, pet foster mom.
The shelter needs roughly 75 families to become foster parents.
