AFTON, OK.--- It's 9 foot tall and one of the largest homework assignments you'll ever see. More than 40 Afton High School art students recreated a well known Italian painting depicting the Nativity scene. It took the students a month to paint the art work. There are 20 different poster boards that make up the painting. Each were combined and then hung on the wall of the high school gym. The students said the art project taught them about patience.
"First, like my square, I couldn't tell what it was. It was not good, not good on a square. When we put it together, it looked real good," said Klara Lindqvist, Artist.
The art will be on display for one more day inside the high school gym.
