JOPLIN, MO.--- Here's your chance to help improve the smile of kids in need. The "Toothfairy Smile Drive" benefits the kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Missouri. The campaign is designed to raise awareness and collect oral care products for children and teens in need. Community members can visit any Wal-Mart in the area to drop off donated oral care products. Administrators says this is an opportunity to promote a healthy lifestyle for the youth they serve.
"A lot of times, some of our kids aren't provided some of those basic toothbrushes and toothpaste. So, if we can have the opportunity to assit them through that, we're going to make sure we can make that happen," said Mackenzie Garst, Development Director, Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Missouri.
The campaign starts today and will continue throughout February, which is also National Children's Dental Health Month.
