Adopt a Greyhound Event at Joplin Petsmart

Greyhound owners and their dogs sat outside the Joplin PetSmart today to promote the adoption of these fury friends.
JOPLIN, MO---Joplin representatives for Greyhound Pets of America held this event. The organization helps to find homes for retired race dogs. There is only one greyhound dog in the Joplin location that is up for adoption right now, but there are plenty more greyhounds to adopt at the home base location in Springfield.

Joplin Representative for Greyhound Pets of America, Debbie Grotheer says, "Greyhounds are very relaxed dogs. They are not hyper dogs at all. They are fast dogs but they spend about 80 percent of their time, we call them the 40 mile per hour couch potatoes."

There will be more adoption events in the near future. To see when those events are and to look at all the dogs that are up for adoption you can go to Greyhound Pets of America's website www.gpamo.org.
