COLUMBUS, KS.--- Columbus city leaders will soon consider a possible tax increase, to help fund hiring a new city administrator. City leaders say as it stands, the city council will likely have to raise the property tax by two mills this year, but they could raise it by five mills if they decide to fund the city administrator's position. However, there's also the possibility that the money could be found by making other changes in the budget. The council is expected to discuss the issue at their next meeting.
