Church's Christmas Market to Benefit Haiti

Ten-percent of today's sales will go toward helping impoverished families in Haiti.
CARTHAGE, MO-- A Carthage Church opens for business to o help spread cheer locally and overseas.

Grace Episcopal Church held the "European Olde-World Christmas Market" Saturday.

It featured hundreds of items for sale including paintings, sculptures, live Christmas trees and more.

Ten-percent of the market's sales will go toward helping impoverished families in Haiti.

For the past 15 years, Grace Episcopal has supported a school, health ministry and food ministry on the south shore of the island.

"we're looking forward to being able to feed a lot of hungry people and educate some children and do a lot of good down in the poorest country in the western hemisphere, says Grace Episcopal Church's Father Steven Wilson.

More than 300 people took part in the fundraiser.
