CARTHAGE, MO.--- The Salvation Army in Carthage is hoping you'll remember to give 20 on the 20th. The shelter is encouraging people to donate 20 dollar bills in their red kettles on Friday. The promotion is the latest push to help them reach their goals.
This year the Carthage fire and police have helped ring the bells to collect money. Currently, the group is running $10,000 short of their $98,000 goal. The group is also running behind on the overall donation objective. Organizers say the money will help them with their yearly food and assistance programs.
