The Carl Junction Christmas celebration goes on after being moved indoors. Hundreds of people came to the community center for pictures with Santa, a Christmas dance recital, and the crowning of Miss Jingle Bell and Mr. Elf. The winners of the annual pageant were Brooklyn Woods and Cruz Boren. The contestants raised nearly $2,400 for the Carl Junction Chamber of Commerce.

Although cold temperatures led to the cancellation of the parade, organizers say the event was a success.

"The crowd here at the community center is just as big as any other year, and everyone enjoys getting to come together as a community," said Gary Stubblefield, Carl Junction Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber of Commerce also sold all kinds of baked goods.
