JOPLIN, MO.--- Buffalo Run Casino and Resort donates thousands of dollars to a fund that supports breast cancer patients. The Buffalo Run general manager presented a $15,000 check to Freeman Health System staff. The Freeman Women's Pavilion fund helps with continuing education for Freeman staff and provides educational resources to breast cancer patients. Buffalo Run raised the money throughout the month of October.
"We consider ourselves a family, and there are health issues that our folks have that are on staff, and their family members. We try to help as much as we can and to give back to the community," said Steve Bashore, Buffalo Run Casino and Resort General Manager.
Buffalo Run raised the money through employee donations, the sale of breast cancer awareness merchandise, and other fundraisers.
