MILLER, MO.--- You've heard of drive thru restaurants for cars, but how about planes? The "Hangar Kafe" in Miller, Missouri has recently opened, and caters to the hungry pilot. The owners converted a hanger bay and turned it into an airplane themed restaurant. They say there aren't many options for the pilot on where to eat once they're in the sky. Some pilots order in early while they're in the air.
"When you're flying in your place, call in your order. We had this happen, they called in their order, run it out to their plane and they took off," said Darlene Kingsley, Hangar Kafe Owner.
The Hangar Kafe is easy to find, take Junction Highway 96 and Highway 97, north on 97 (2 miles) to FR 2040, 1 mile east on 2040 to FR 1070, north on 1070 3/4 mile. To view the Hangar Kafe Facebook page, click here.
