Brad's Beat Sakee the Turtle

Studies have shown that interacting with animals lowers blood pressure and puts people at ease.
CARTHAGE, MO.--- Some turtles are Mutant Ninja's, others just like to cheer up seniors. Sakee the Turtle visited residents at the Carthage Health and Rehab Center. It's part of their animal healing program. Interacting with animals lowers blood pressure and puts people in a good mood.

"They calm you down, comfort you. It's nice to have a pet," says Mike Ricks, Carthage Health & Rehab.

Sakee is a Sulcata Turtle and he can get up to 100 pounds and live to be 100-years-old.
