MIAMI, OK.--- In case you didn't check the calendar, today is Constitution Day and an area college is celebrating. Neo A&M College in Miami celebrated the signing of the document 226 years ago. A table was setup inside the student union and students were given several new amendments to read to see if they should be added to the constitution. Some of those included limiting a president to one term and a mental background check on gun owners.
"It's an organic document, ever changing and can be fluid and flexible to the demands of the public. It's always important to know the constitution," said Jeff Bridsong, NEO Social Science Teacher.
Several students were registered to vote at this annual event.
