WEBB CITY, MO.--- Tom Hamsher has been in the Christmas spirit since Labor Day. He's the owner of the Minerva Candy Shop in Webb City and they started making candy canes back in September. The Minerva started making Christmas candy back in 1913. After several years of being closed, they are now back with the tradition on their 100th anniversary and hopefully it will bring more interest to Webb City.
"Hopefully put Webb City on a course of rebuilding downtown. I think this store was of those key stores. This will help jump start webb city," said Tom Hamsher, Minerva Candy Shop Owner.
If you would like to visit the Minerva, it's located at 12 South Main Street.
