Koral Martin has more than 150 pieces of her art on display at McCune Brooks Hospital and she will be the featured artist at this years Carthage Downtown Art Walk on April 26th.
CARTHAGE, MO.--- A Carthage artist's work is helping patients heal. Koral Martin has more than 150 pieces of her art on display at McCune Brooks Hospital in Carthage.

Koral says so many patients come up to her and say its helped them through some tough times. Medical studies show that bright colors and nature scenes assist in the healing process.

"Heart rates stabilize, blood pressures go down. All the effects you'd have when you go outside and enjoy nature. Brings that inside in the environment," said Koral Martin, Koka Art Gallery.

Koral will be the featured artist at the Carthage Downtown Art Walk on April 26th from 6 until 9 p.m. The event is free.
