JOPLIN, MO.--- A new non-profit in Joplin is helping young women get back on their feet. Construction is underway on the Loving Grace Ministry, and the new home will house eight women who have had a hard times in life. The group will take in women who have been homeless, or they could have been aged out of a foster home, or just needing a helping hand. The group will take in young women from ages 18 to 24. The home will provide a safe place to go to college or search for a job.
"Hoping to give them a second chance. Help them become useful citizens, not on the streets or whatever," said Jim Oglesby, Loving Grace.
Construction should be completed by the beginning of the year.
