JOPLIN, MO.--- A classic plane has landed in Joplin and is turning some heads. Jason Gaskill is the owner of Plane View Auto Sales. He recently purchased a 1957 Lockheed T-33 Jet. His auto dealership is located on Highway 171 across the from the airport and Gaskill says it's an attention grabber. He purchased the plane from an auction in Oregon. It had to be shipped in pieces to Joplin and reassembled.
"Came 1600 miles from Ontario, Oregon. Took the fuselage off the wings and a big 18 wheel got her here," said Jason Gaskill, Plane View Auto Sales.
The planes engine has been removed now, but once upon a time it was one of the first jet fighter planes.
