Brad's Beat: Hispanic Bible Parade

Several area Hispanic churches celebrated Independence Day on the Carthage square Thursday morning.
CARTHAGE, MO.--- Several area Hispanic churches celebrated Independence Day on the Carthage square this morning. The Hispanic Bible Parade kicked off with several hundred people.

Members from more than 15 area churches marched around the square waving flags and honoring America's independence. Many say they weren't born here, but are proud of their new country and its traditions.

"We are part of this country too. And we enjoy to celebrate the freedom of this nation," said Milton Guillen, Loves Carthage.

This is the second year the parade has been held.
