JOPLIN, MO.--- Most ladies have two or three purses, but one Joplin woman has hundreds that she's made herself. Karen Layne has started a new business from her home called "Charlie 7." She makes purses and bags from her sewing machine.
She started selling them on Facebook and she's keeping up with demand from around the country. She says the name Charlie 7 comes from her late father who inspired her to live her dream.
"He was an artist and that was his passion. If he would have been able, he would of done that full time job. So he fueled a spark inside of me to do what I love to do," said Karen Layne, Charlie 7 Bags.
