CARTHAGE, MO.--- A Carthage family has spent several weeks getting their house into the Halloween spirit. Kim Smallwood and his family have two yards that they decorate for Halloween. They have inflatables, fog machines and skeletons. The family starts putting out the decorations on October 1st and work all the way up to the 31st. The scene can be a bit scary for younger kids.
"The kids are so afraid to come up to the house, sometimes we have to take the candy to them," said Kim Smallwood, Halloween Decorator.
If you would like to see the house, it's located at 1406 south Maple in Carthage. You go by any night after dark to check it out.
