JOPLIN, MO.--- Hundreds of customers stood outside of Kohl's last night waiting for the doors to open at 8. Store Manager Erick Byrd says they opened four hours earlier than normal with 500 night owl and early bird deals. Associates gathered in huddles to prepare for the shoppers. Customers we spoke to say they were waiting in line for an hour and a half.
"We want to have all the merchandise available for our customer, all those hot stuff they are looking for and in place. So, our associates know where its at, so they can direct them to it and get them out the door as quickly as possible," said Erick Byrd, Store Manager.
Byrd says they added about 50 seasonal workers for the holiday season.
